I swear to God, I am so upset about this whole situation. My husband and I have been dealing with an incompetent lawyer and her "team" for over a year now. She was the one who told me getting an interview only takes a couple weeks. I have now been waiting over 2 months now for an interview date. I just got off the phone with her and she tells me that she never said that, that getting an interview date can actually take up to a year. Like what?? Where does it say this?? And she told me that they are so backlogged right now because alot of people resigned... so annoyed...

Anyway still waiting for an interview in Guatemala CC Sept.25

Hi dear, I understand your frustration, but Interviews date are not in the power of lawyers. No one controls Interviews beside the embassy, and I think they do by available spots. Guatemala seems to be pretty tough now looking at the spreadsheet. We came a long way. We’re closer than few months ago. Hang in there sister, it will all be over pretty soon :)

its really frustrating :( i hv to wait till this year Income Tax Returns filling n i also idk what will gonna happen after that.

I am so sorry to hear what happened. Like someone else said it’s a good sign that they kept your documents. Don’t you guys know anyone else who can be a joint sponsor, so you don’t have to necessarily wait until he files taxes next year? Maybe if you find someone he/she can send their documents quickly while the case is still on the table at the embassy.

Yes I know they are not in the power of lawyers but a good lawyer who you paid a couple thousand to should atleast give you better estimates, better reassurances and be more professional. Yes I guess we are closer. Hopefully we get something soon. It's just very hard for my husband and I as we have been separated for a year and a half.

Thank you I sure hope so!

there were about hundred immigrants Most of people got approved be confident, remember when u met ist time n where,  your date of marriage n births n place of marriage time of visit to each other. Best of luck to u.  that all questions where asked.

Idk what whold happen in my case please remember me in ur prayers.

They hv all ur papers submitted by u at USCIS n NVC

Hope that helps u.

Sorry this happened.  I know to get to this point and be anything but approved has to be frustrating.  Were you denied or on review. Sound like you only have to find an additional sponsor or file taxes as soon as the tax season open. There is still hope. They just need additional information.

he has'nt filed income taxes? This should of been caught as soon as your husband sent in the affidavit of support application. If his income wasnt enough to qualify him NVC usually send notices right away so you can find a joint sponsor. If its that your husband hasnt filed his past years income tax he can do it whenever, he doesnt have to wait until filing season for 2016 and older.

Congratulations!! so they did ask you for police certificate? I thought Islamabad said police certificate is not required for Pakistan.
