I swear to God, I am so upset about this whole situation. My husband and I have been dealing with an incompetent lawyer and her "team" for over a year now. She was the one who told me getting an interview only takes a couple weeks. I have now been waiting over 2 months now for an interview date. I just got off the phone with her and she tells me that she never said that, that getting an interview date can actually take up to a year. Like what?? Where does it say this?? And she told me that they are so backlogged right now because alot of people resigned... so annoyed...

Anyway still waiting for an interview in Guatemala CC Sept.25

Thank you, we are practicing tonight heeheehee it's kind of fun to look back on all our experiences together.

I wish I could be there to support him for the interview, but I have to work, unfortunately.  I know he'll be fine.

In terms of finding a flight, just familiarize yourself with what's available, set some alerts and be ready to jump on it as soon as you know your date. Flights to Spain in January/Feb aren't as expensive, so you've got that going for you. I believe that I am not allowed to go the interview, and I've heard different reports about petitioners being allowed into the building. So expect that you will have to wait outside but you might be allowed to at least enter the building. But I'm pretty sure you won't be allowed in the interview. The interview letter will tell you that info.

Remember that it is most likely that an agent can tell you when your interview has been scheduled, before the email arrives. So wait a couple weeks, then start calling.

I've been reading up on the past interview experiences in Madrid, it sounds like that I will be able to attend the interview as long I don't have any baggage or anything to bring in except the evidence we are expected to bring. I have been on top of sky scan for upcoming flights for mid February 2018! I'm just so excited to be with my hubby again it doesn't matter if I get to go in or not!!! Thanks for the tips for calling. Which agents are the ones who can tell about the interview date? NVC? Thanks again!!!!

I think if they kept your passport that is a good sign. Perhaps they are wanting a cosponser who has a better financial gain than the one that was used for you. You are in my prayers and duas for getting your visa soon.

Don't look at it as a denial but perhaps additional processing needed.

How come they didn’t catch the low income at the NVC stage? What was your income for previous years?
