You also don't need to travel to your home state.

My husband got his in CDJ and he is from Guadalajara.

Hi @Laura2017 do you now what document your husband present as a proof of residency because on the website says: Comprobante de Domicilio con fecha de expedición no mayor a 5 meses.? and also how long it takes to get the certificate? Thank You ;)

I thought they would go in order 🤔. I guess not. Congratulations on your interview. I just called 5 minutes ago and there is no interview yet. The Nvc agent told me that they are almost done scheduling January interviews 😥😩😫

Timeline

I noticed a bunch of people don't have timelines filled out.

That's extremely helpful for people looking for information and really helps to estimate times etc.

I understand on mobile this might not be so visible.

On desktop under your picture on the left there's a link at the bottom that says Timeline, click on that and it'll let you fill it out.

Congrats!

1.  -If your husband lived in Mexico for more than 6 months then he needs a police certificate from his home State.

-If your husband has lived in the US for more than 6 months, he needs a police certificate from the US.

-If he has lived in any other country for over 12 months, he needs a police certificate from that country.

I think he's gonna need to travel to his home state because they take a picture of you and include it on the certificate.

2. It can be delivered somewhere other than Juarez. If you stay in Juarez it takes about 3 days. If not, it takes from 5 to 7 days.

Hope it helps.

Can I ask how long did it take from Case Completed at NVC to interview schedule? Thanks

Case Completed 9/20 and our interview was scheduled on Dec 1 2017 for January 9, 2018.

@Laura2017Your husband got his Mexico police record (certificado de no antecedentes penales)  in Ciudad Juarez?  He didn't have to travel to his home state? Would you happen to know if a picture of him was taken during his request for police record? Thank you for your help in advance.

My husband said you need your birth certificate and ID like; credential de elector, matricula consular, or passport.

Also a proof of address their in CDJ. It does not have to be under your name.

You have to pay $85 pesos and they give it to you the same

Yes a picture was taken of him during the request.

And he got it there in CDJ.
