Hey guys since you all passed Nvc phase and congratulations for that by the way I want advice about writing case number on the Nvc documents I asked that question in another thread and opinions seemed divided about it so what do you think about that?

Please my advice is based on experience, we never had a checklist, our case numbers were written on all front pages of the document... I was advised to do that because normally, they misplace some documents and that brings about checklists and delays

I didn't bother doing this, I have a friend from another country that did not do it either, we both had NO problems

 

Just make sure your docs are organized nicely for them.

it is very good idea to write case number on all documents. Trust me lot of people have learned it in hard way. It is better to be safe than sorry later

I hear that too but what are the actual stats on that?

I'm not saying don't do it and its not bad advice, but I think its a very small percentage, not something to worry about if someone hadn't done it.

Well..If someone already have send documents without case number. Nothing he or she can do now . Agreed, it is small percentage but nobody wants to be part of that statistics. Even VJ guides  and VJ expert users all recommend this.

Maybe check in the regional forum.

You can also check the timelines section for Brazil and see if anyone completed theirs recently to get a good idea.

Would it be advisable to call the NVC to ask if they already scheduled an appointment date for the beneficiary?

I read somewhere here in VJ that some people do that and they do get an answer without waiting for their appointment letter. Thanks!

Yes it’s a good idea, we got our interview date over the phone before or appointment letter arrived
