You father would be the one filing the waiver, 7 months last time I saw, does he have a Lawyer?

Your waiver? You can not file one.

Go to immigrate2us.net     There are soooo many people on that site who filed waivers.  There's even a spread sheet with processing times of waiver applicants

Hi,

If you or your spouse do not have an immigration issue and you are just filing IR-1/CR-1 you are fine and just need to get all documents requested for the interview ready. This thread is for those who have immigration issues (e.g previous overstays, deportation....) and need a waiver to reapply for entry into the United States.

Yes I understand that - we were placed in administrative processing yesterday because of an issue we had and the officer said its likely that we will need to file a waiver. We were not found inadmissible yet but I just want to prepare myself for the worst

Hello

We went to our interview in July 2017 and found inadmissible 10 year ban. The officer told us to file a I 601 Waiver of Inadmissibility, which we have and is currently in the Nebraska Office which they received November 2017.  It is passed our six months since interview.  Where can I find out information for approval times?

Thanks

Hi,

You can check the processing timeframes from this link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Or you can just search uscis processing times on google. As of today it is 378days since i submitted the waiver for my spouse and no nothing yet. Waiver was submitted in December 2016. Good luck and welcome to the thread.

Thank you everyone for the information.

Has anyone contacted their embassy by email to find out information. Will we have to do the whole interview process over again?

I think the process is after the waiver is approved, it will be sent to NVC and NVC reaches out to the embassy where your spouse is and have them schedule another interview date for your spouse.

I have read some stories of people who go in for the second interview and are denied again for another reason and have also read about those who attend the interview and all they were told was just to submit their passport and given a date to come back to collect their passport with visa stamped no questions asked.
