Filed i130 from turkey but didnt get NOA1

Hello,

I am a dual US and Turkish citizen and my husband is a Turkish citizen, we both live together in Istanbul, Turkey. We filed his i130 petition on June 26, 2017 but never received any mail at our home address in Turkey.

Therefore I don't have an NOA1. Do I need one?

I checked the USCIS Case Status online and it said that they received the petition and will send instructions by July 26, 2017. I never got instructions. So I called the Customer Service hotline and the worker there told me

that my case was being processed at the NSC and that I would get a reply within 6-7 months. 

It's almost been 6 months, should I be doing anything else?

You're fine without the letter, as long as you have your receipt number you can check the status online. Unfortunately NSC (Nebraska) is very slow right now & taking about 9-12 months for the approval. What you can do now is read up & learn about the next step at NVC.

I see that your application is at NVC, congratulations with that! I hope you end up getting approved through everything else.
