Guys, any advice what would happen to our K1 petition ?

so I am Indonesian (Still) been living in Germany for more than 10 years and I applied for German citizenship back in April 2017, but I just get approved now November 2017.

we filed our K1 petition with NOA 1 2nd October 2017 and stated I am as Indonesian.

any advice or idea if it would make us refile the petition if I change my citizenship ??

what do I do ?

Thank you in advance

Did you give up your citizenship in your home country to get the new citizenship?

Yes I have to give up Indonesian citizenship.

we called military helpline but they said, it depends on USCIS officer so we will see and keep praying that we don't have to refile ....fingers crossed

Once you get your documents, make copies and see how you can provide that information to USCIS.

Be prepared for additional scrutiny and more paperwork though. It might not look great to see someone changing citizenship and the moving again.

No, I don’t have any personal experience with it. Our case is fairly cut and dry, and although it’s taking a while, didn’t require much additional work.

We front loaded our petition quite a bit, so that helped. As well, my husband is a military service member, and we used affidavits from one of his COs for our evidence, so that helped too.
