If i am qualified for k1

Hello everyone, i need some advice and help if i am okay to apply for a k1 visa.. I have a boyfriend he is from arkansas usa and i am from the philippines.. We've been in a relationship for 4 months and we got engage. We are planning to apply for k1. We also met in person last october 2017.  I want a advice if we are qualified for k1 visa.. We want to be together.  Thanks for the help and God bless

Yes, as long as you met in person within the past 2 years (which you did), you are both free to marry (no pending divorces), and you plan on getting married once you arrive in the US, then you are eligible to petition for a K1 visa.

To expand just a little on RJandHamid's answer, have you been married?  You will need a CENOMAR in the Philippines since there are no divorces. If you were married you will need an annulment.  Everything else you mentioned was fine (meeting within 2 years of filing).  There is also a financial requirement and other minor requirements.  Ask your questions here.  There are a lot of USC and Filipino couples here.

I never been married. Yes i will get a CENOMAR once we start processing it.. Is the large age gap is a big no no no? Or no age discrimination? And also when he is here we don't have really super sweet photo like kissing or hugging is that okay? Or it really needed so that the consul will approve to it.. I am just curious on that cause i've researching and there's a lot of questions come to our mind.. I need help.. Thank you and God bless

Large age gaps are common for couples going through the K1 process in the Philippines, most are approved with no problems. You are not required to have overly sweet or romantic photos, just a few photos of you and your fiance together should be enough.

I have heard of an 81 year old man being approved with a 36 year old filipino woman.  They did have some challenges but they were eventually approved.  What is your age gap?

Hell at 81 if he was able to perform he would have died cause of no blood in the heart

No kidding.  At first I was a little disturbed but then I realized that he deserves to be happy and if this works for them, I wish them the best.  I can't imagine what his kids are thinking though.  He has a daughter about to turn 60 and her step mother is 39!  LOL
