Hi there,

I have my Naturalization Oath Ceremony scheduled with the Boston Office at 12PM and I am just wondering how long will it typically take?  I am checking to see if i need to take time-off for this appointment or if it is something can be completed within the lunch time.

Is there anything that I should be aware of for the Oath Ceremony?

Thank you guys and good luck to all that are waiting and thanks to anyone that is helping

Take time off. You need to be there in advance go through a few checks. Then wait till everyone else get through the line and seated then the ceremony begins. Line up get your certificate sit back down and wait for the other to go through it.

It will vary some but that's about it.

If you can,   take the day off to Celebrate!  You won't want to feel rushed.  After my husband's ceremony they had tables set up outside the courtroom with representatives from the Social security office, the passport office and Voter registration.  It was nice to get all of that taken care of while we were there.  We are in kansas city so there were over 100 people that day taking their Oath so it took most of the morning to get thru everything.  Congratulations!  Enjoy your special day!

oh thank you for the info, I didnt know all three services will be there (SSO, Passport Office and Voter)

Wonder if there will be a copy machine or some kind so i can make a copy of citizenship paper before applying for the US Passport! :)  The SSO is just to update my citizenship status right?

Thanks a lot :)

He  was given the paperwork and the information on applying for the passport, but he wasn't apply to apply for it there on the spot like he could the ss and voter registration.  We got the paperwork and then had to make an appointment at our post office to apply (and get his picture taken).
