But keep on calling them once or twice every week maybe you'll get a case number over the phone rather than waiting for eight weeks or for a letter to come in the mail

I am sure very frustrating for you.  My cousin went through this in 2016, it’s like double the time these days. 

Congrats to you. i dont know why they's slow. I saw many people PD in Nov got approved but Oct is still waiting.

to find out if nvc received your case you just call and ask they will tell you. But they might not have a case number for you right away.

Thank you  and yes it includes NVC case number. Then I called NVC to get my invoice Id since its required when logging in to ceac. We just paid our fees, completed ds260 and sent our documents including AOS last may 19th, I called today and they confirmed that they received it on may 24th, they said review takes up to 6 weeks, i hope that it gets completed next week thou, really long process.
