Yeah I just tried calling and they said 6 weeks to receive 6-8 weeks to get case number but usually they receive much sooner so I'm not sure how to get that info from them. Seems like they just want to get you off the phone.

My PD is Oct 20th TSC, and today I got a text, and an email to check the status. On April 30th they sent me a request for initial evidence, what does it mean? Do request for initial evidence take longer to be review that requests for additional evidence?

Initial evidence is a missing evidence(primary evdience)in the USCIS list of evidence of bonafide marital relationship like Marriage cert, birth cert, proof of U.S. status, missing or omitted numbers/pages on the i130/130a,divorce cert, correct passport size photos, flight iteneries, etc while additional evidence is a missing secondary evidence like hotel receipts, sworn affidavits of bonafide marriage from friends and relatives etc

And then go to "check case status"

Call NVC to know if they have received your approved petition from USCIS

I saw a comment before that USCIS sent their case on May 2 then after few days NVC received their case already but no case number yet. My husband will try to call them on Wednesday to ask if they have our case already. Ours was sent on May 1.

Mine was sent April 24. I am assuming they have it already. I just don't know if they'll be able to give me my case number, or if it has been assigned yet.

Haha lucky! Have to wait for July to see my husband. I hope it's just really 6-8 weeks but what I'm reading right now, they received their case numbers after 9 weeks. :(

Have you tried calling them? Some people says it will take 6-8 weeks. But others get their case number after 9 weeks

I know. Thought after USCIS, waiting game is over. Guess not. Very frustrating... depends too if we are pivot case or not. 6-8 weeks if not pivot. 9-10 if it is. Just dont know how to figure out if case is pivot or not

Hey all. Just wanted to let you know of another approval. Noa1 Oct 13th and May 7th Approved. got an email at 6.30am from the new USCIS website that an action was taken and to log. Once i did it said case approved. Good luck to everyone and don't loose hope.  For anyone who isn't registered on the new USCIS website i recommend doing so.
