From what i understood from my lawyer (anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong) according to military families u can only get your case expedited if you have -including the reasons that are above me- an upcoming deployment .. i tried to get ours expedited but no luck, the whole wait i had on getting my i-130 approved was my whole husband's deployment..hope we all have a fast NVC journey!

My husband just returned from his deployment. And we called USCIS many times before deployment, and they said we cant expedite it. When we first try to inquire on how long would be the processing they kept saying 4-6 mos because we are a military family but found out later on that being in the military wont make any differences on other cases. Thank you for your response!

If you check vj timeline (Igor's list). Two people from texas got their approval who filed in January. And two from Nebraska who filed in December got their approvals already. One of them got in February.

my husband just returned as well. we filed 2 days prior his deployment and waited 7 months to get approved with USCIS. i do agree with you being in the military does not make any difference.

We're Sept 18 and still not approved...Potomac is the worst all of a sudden. I hope yours is faster, but be prepared for the worst.

Anybody here knows how long to get the NVC CASE NUMBER from NOA2 Letter or Case Approval?

Mine was approved almost a month ago, not even sure if they have received my case yet😩 then additional 6-8 weeks to get the case number. This is so overwhelming😕

I feel you. I think I will at least try to call NVC if it would be possible to get at least the case number. :)

I saw a comment before that USCIS sent their case on May 2 then after few days NVC received their case already but no case number yet. My husband will try to call them on Wednesday to ask if they have our case already. Ours was sent on May 1.
