Hello Guys

I need your help please. I called USCIS and I asked the customer service to transfer me to tier 2. After 2 hours I received a call and I believe from tier 2. She said that my case is with an officer now, and my processing is from 8.5 to 11 months from the date I filed my petition to get a response. My priority date is October 5th and my service center is Potamc. My question is what did she means by my case with an officer now? Does it means I am going to get a notice soon?

Seems like a generic response. You will get your NOA2 8.5 month to 11 months from your NOA1 date. My PD is Oct 10  Potomac and still nothing.

Potomac was supposed to be one of the fastest, but perhaps they aren't as fast anymore. TSC guys are getting Oct approvals.

Thanks for your response!

I don't know why Potomac is the slowest now! Nebraska fillers are getting approvals as well.

I thought I might get a notice soon since she said the officer has my case now.

All we can do is wait. Fill out your timeline, if you can; it helps other users see what's going on with USCIS.

I don't think we need to assume that Potomac will be so slow. A lot of September filers have already been approved, and one person from October 2. The other service centers get some early approvals but many people at Texas, for example, are still waiting on September approvals. I think Igor's List gives you a better idea of what we can probably expect. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=2&visa=3&scenter=6&option=3&sortby=2

Good luck to us all!
