Yes there's no problems for Americans to travel to Morocco.

Thank you, I know, but i'm not sure what the ""Moroccan American"" can expect at the airport? is it a routine process or its something very special,do they ask why are you entering with a foreign passport?

Are you Moroccan? They might ask you for La Carte National when you arrive at the airport.

Yes i'm , why  they may  ask for a Moroccan ID? have you ever traveled with a US passport  and not  the Moroccan one?

I don't have an American passport but a Dutch passport, the idea is the same. I have dual citizenship: Dutch Moroccan. They ask for the la carte national. It depends on the person who is serving you whether they give you a hard time or not.

Since Moroccans can't renounce their citizenship they make a big deal out of it.

I always traveled to Morocco with my Dutch passport, they don't care as long as you have la carte national with you. Marrakech airport is a little bit more lenient btw.

I know it's a risk, so I wouldn't recommend that to you, but I always played dumb when they asked me for it. Mine is expired 10 years ago, and I just didn't had time nor the desire to go to the consulate and spend a whole day there. The last three times I didn't have a problem getting in. They advised me Everytime again to bring it with me next time I visit morocco.

I don't have experience with the consulate her in America. I know that they are really hard to get in touch with in the Netherlands, they just don't answer the phone. So that seems to be the way they work, you have to go over there.

My experience is they don't have expedited, but what you can do if the consulate isn't that far away from where you live,  is go over there and apply for the ID. If I'm correct they will give you a form that says that your carte is pending. You can bring that with you, they will accept that. Usually ( but maybe it's different here in America) it takes a month or two/three for it be processed.

Passport I don't know if that can be expedited. I think you can but frankly, the la carte is what they care about.

And if you decide to do so make sure you bring the correct documents with you and passport photos.

alright will make it clear and simple for u, so u can have some peace of mind.

I just came back from Morocco like 6 weeks ago.I have US Passport and last 2 years I had Moroccan Passport expired.never planned to renew it. the deal is when u entering Morocco as Moroccan u have 2 options us the second nationality ONLY  and then u get 6 months to stay or Moroccan one then u are Home.but if u only have Moroccan ID NUMBER u can give them that number with ur US Passport anytime u coming to visit and they will grant u unlimited time tostay in Morocco ,so dont even bother to spend time and money to renew Moroccan Passport it will serve u no benefit at all .talking to u from personal experience . have ur Moroccn ID number write it on back of Police check paper and u good to go .
