we have included the following in both our names...

2 letters from friends

401k plans

AFLAC policies

life insurance

state and fed tax forms

statement showing im on my wifes dental plan

explaination of my arrest...they should find it funny lol

Dont forget the cheque and copies of front and back of the permanent residence card! Best of luck

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I'm not sure what purpose is met by including the drivers license. We included both of ours, but only because they show the same address, thus are evidence of a shared household (admittedly, not super strong evidence). They also help to identify us in the other photos we included. Anyway, whatever you include, it's probably best to identify how it demonstrates some point about the bona fide nature of your marriage.

A side note: you can probably get a state ID card even if you don't know how to or don't want to drive. A state ID card is essentially identical to a driver's license for all practical purposes, except the obvious matter that it doesn't carry any privilege regarding driving a car, and you don't need to pass a driving test to get one.

But drivers license or not, your list looks similar to the lists which others have submitted.

Yeah, it's not that difficult. The adjudicator at the service center has to be "satisfied that the marriage was not for the

purpose of evading the immigration laws." 8 C.F.R. § 216.4(B)(1). That wouldn't seem to take too much if your marriage had nothing to do with evading the immigration laws, but a lot of people here tend to go overboard in the evidence department.

Edit: impossible to put a "b" in parentheses around here!

Yes, the filling out of the 751 and evidence required is very easy!! One just has to sit down, and take some time to do it. I'm a guy, and even managed to do it on my own without my wife's help!! Yes, pretty amazing!!
