Hello guys, I had my AOS interview a few weeks ago. I wouldn't say it went well. my spouse gave a wrong answer to a question and the officer knew. The officer asked so many why questions too. A few days ago I got a call in letter,  asking me to come to the office with documents including my lease, joint utility bills and 5 bank statements. I already submitted my lease, I don't know why they are requesting for this again. I am more worried about the 5 banks statements. Our account is fairly active. average 600-700$ goes through monthly. Also, our I 130 has been approved already and in this letter, it says the documents are regarding the I--130. making me more worried.

We haven't used any attorney so far and we did everything on our own. Do you think I should reach out to one? I am worried about this

Bring exactly what they requested and anything else that you can add. Go to the  ROC guide, there is a nice list of useful items you can bring.
They want to see co mingled evidence of your lives together, co habitation, co financial documents, that is to be expected and nothing unusual.

Hey guys, so I went to the office today alone with the documents requested. She asked me where my wife is. I told her it didn't say I should come with her and that I am going to work from here. She told me, we were asked to come for another interview. I guess it is the stokes interview. That she is going to reschedule me for another date. Now am freaking out and I don't know what to do. Can anybody please advice me on how to prepare. I am thinking to getting the help of a lawyer to help us prepare and even go to the interview with us because the officer doesn't seem to 100% know what she is saying. she made some mistakes and asked some wrong questions too. Any advise please

Everybody's stokes is different and depends on each couples specific or potential red flags.
Ask yourselves what your flags are and what the questions were in the first interview and then you should know or at least have a idea why
they are suspicious enough to have a second or stoked interview. Yes, of course you ALWAYS bring the spouse to any AOS interview, first or second
or third.
I don't see anything in your posts that suggests you need a lawyer. Look at the ROC guide and bring what you can from that list for bona fide marriage
evidence. Address your flags and talk about them together. Pay attention to details about the house you both live in, your schedules, things you
do as an individual and as a couple, know the basics of each other's family's and past relationships. If you are a genuine couple then
you have nothing to worry about and all these things have come up before in conversation with each other.

A lawyer can help you prepare for the stokes interview and go over any red flags you may have in your case, but they are pretty much useless in attending the interview with you, because they are not allowed to answer any questions/provide information on your behalf (unless directly addressed by the IO).  Basically the lawyer would just sit there silently for moral support.

During your first interview, what did the IO seem focused on the most?  What, if any, suspicions did they address with you in their questions?

There were couple of things she was concerned about

1st: I had a separate bank account, my wife knew of this account

2nd: We met while we she was pregnant

3rd: I don't have tattoos because i don't like them but my wife do have tattoo

4th: We didn't exchange rings

5th: We wife answered a question wrong, it was about the car i used to come pick her up on our first date. and the IO knew cause she addressed it

This part is most likely what got you a stokes interview.

Lots of couples don't have rings for various reasons (ie. financial), and a separate bank account is not a huge deal so long as your finances are co-mingled in other ways (and you can prove this, which is why you were asked for the lease, bills, and bank statements).

What do u mean by back story. There isn't anything much about the case. I was just surprised because the i 130 was approved already. Didn't expect all of this to come up

You didn't expect the fact that your new wife was impregnated by another man when you met/married to come up?

To the IO it makes the marriage/relationship look suspicious.

Is your wife the foreigner or the USC?  Was she ever married/engaged to another USC (if she is the foreigner)?

Are you the USC, or your wife?  Has your wife (if she is the foreigner) ever been engaged or married or petitioned in the past by a USC before?    What visa did the beneficiary enter the US on?

(It's really hard to give good advice when only bits and pieces of the story is coming out a little at a time...)
