Hi all,

Just wanted to share my journey so far:

I am on an F1 Student Visa and currently working full time under OPT.  I got married on July 27th to a US citizen and filed on November.  The packages (I-130 and I-485) were shipped via second day USPS Express on Nov 14th.  USPS confirmed delivery on Friday 17th.  I received an email=text from USCIS on Monday 27th at exactly 12:23 AM and I-797 NOA was sent.  After I checked my case status, It said that fingerprint fee was accepted on the 22nd and I-485 is pending so far.

noticed your summary on the front page. It doesn't mention i-765 and i-131, did you file these? If not, you may want to file those petitions as well - free with NOA for pending i-485. Technically, since your F1 status is terminated as you are now in the process of changing status, your OPT and EAD (based on the now-canceled F1 status) is no longer valid. No reason to panic, you can continue to work, but in order to avoid issues I'd file for an EAD based on your pending i-485 petition.

Also, AOS can take a long time, so your OPT-based EAD card may run out before your petition is approved.

Thank you for your comment.  I did file for those EAD and Advanced parole.  My current EAD will expire in June 1st 2018.

I haven't. Based off others' timelines, I am hoping to receive the biometric letter some time next week ( 2 weeks after receiving the text and e-mail notifications) and for the appointment to be scheduled ~1.5 weeks after.

I haven't. Based off others' timelines, I am hoping to receive the biometric letter some time next week ( 2 weeks after receiving the text and e-mail notifications) and for the appointment to be scheduled ~1.5 weeks after.

I hope you do.  I got my NOA letters yesterday, so I assume a week or two will receive something regarding biometrics.  Online status shows Finger print fee accepted.  Good luck :)

Me too about the same.

Just checking to see whether or not you received the biometric appointment.

We are pretty much on the same timing track.  I got my NOA letters on the 29th, and you got them on the 28th.

Side note: I turned my maiden name into second middle name. In the combo card, my given name is First Firstmiddleinitial, however on the back of the card, they attempted to list my second middle name.

Yeah I guess so.  Now we shall wait and wait...
