Merry Christmas is back at the White House

Do you have to believe in ghosts etc to celebrate Halloween. I am pretty sure no one over 6 believes in the Easter bunny, yet.

I somehow have a hard time believing the first thought into your head upon receiving a 'Happy Ramadan' card from someone would be ''oh how thoughtful''... it would not be the first thought from me either.. which would hover somewhere between bewilderment and amusement.

My family grew up around the area of Baltimore where Judaism is very strong, that had a big influence in teaching us to be respectful to other faiths and sending a Happy Holidays card or such a greeting was respectfully appropriate. They responded in kind. I only have a very few Jewish friends that celebrate both holidays. Would you wish a Jehovah's Witness a happy birthday or buy them Christmas gifts? Would you find it a problem if they felt weirded out and insulted if you did?

 

Christmas is really just another secular holiday to me. It holds no religious bearing, but that doesn't mean I ignore the context of the holiday itself and be inconsiderate to others. I never believed in Santa or the Easter bunny, and due to upbringing - never celebrated Halloween either. At least we are not a church state... yet... the UK seems to promote Christmas over all others in a very public way.

my aunt is jewish and my cousins were raised jewish and catholic and back when i used to send out xmas cards - i made sure to buy a box that said happy holidays or warm wishes for a wonderful holiday season or something non religious. i always thought i did that because i'm totally non-religious but really, my momma just raised me right - to be considerate of others. deliberately sending out a xmas card to a non christian household is like having a bumper sticker that says my god is bigger than your god - but i guess that's just where america and it's angry little handed president are at right now 

I dont understand why Trump and his base are so angry all the time. Small hands translate into a sense of inferiority.

anger stems from the ever growing frustration in feeling that something yours is being taken from you. america being great was taken from them and they must make it great again. no small feat when you've got toddler paws.

I never said I had a problem with happt holidays. I think most treat Christmas more secular than religious. 

As for the MOR  everyone wants in on my action. I got another poster also trying to muscle in on my gig. To be the man you got beat the man.

I dunno man you seem a little worked up. It's okay though. It's reasonable when your world view is put into question.

 

The "middle" should go to those whose actions properly reflect it. Not whoever claims it the most or brings it up all the time like a broken record.

 

So as I said... I'll just continue to judge things from the actual middle. You can keep your little club. I don't mind.
