Hi, I am new here. Is it normal to wait for almost 6mos. to get approved for k1? I feel like Im losing my mind waiting for our NOA2. Its been 177 days since USCIS received our application. I need some encouraging words. Thank you.

Yeah, it’s taking forever these days. You’re not alone. There are tons of people waiting longer than you have. Check the K1 forum for more specific instructions on what you can do to find stuff out. Everyone is very active there and they all post their experiences so you can see how things are. 

 

You should be getting it any day now though if you sent your petition without leaving anything out. We got NOA2 on day 176. So hang in there and check the forum for June filers. You’ll find a good crowd there.

Come and join the NOA2 waiting room / party on the June 2017 forum. We’re all trying to keep each other sane there by supporting each other. Follow @vocaledge @The Squirreland our honorary Junie @Naes who do the scans, analysis and keep us all entertained. Watch out for the twerking squirrel and Leo DiCaprio often offers up a glass of bubbly there.

but we are trying to live positively as my friend above mentioned! Keep each other laughing, trying as little sad faces as it goes, because lots of people are waiting over 180s in May and June is also hanging around slowly.

 

it will end. Yes it is going slowly than expected and that's really frustrating for all of us... so we are guessing and talking about loved ones, and how when this will end (and it will end) we will have fights over napkins in a wedding...

 

come join to the carnival and heads up try to laugh it off so we can all somehow stay sane.

 

i saw many people whining and sad for days (which is extremely normal) and when they get the noa2 the whole personality changes 180degrees  

 

so chose which style you'd like and enjoy the ride.
