Hi All! I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with their EAD. Yesterday was 69 days since my EAD case was received by USCIS. Online nothing has changed (status is still “case received”) but in the mail I got an approval letter (dated 11/20) stating I’ve been approved for an EAD valid from 11/20/2017-11/19/2018. It also stated I would receive the card in the mail and at that time could go ahead and start the process of getting a job. Yesterday I also received another letter replying to an inquiry I submitted for my i485 application which stated that no biometrics appointment has been made for me at this time, but USCIS will contact me once a date has been set. I had always been under the impression that I needed the biometric appointment in order to get approval for an EAD. Is this true? Has anyone else received an EAD before their biometrics appt? Thanks!!!
