 @MAGA?

I'm pretty sure the warehouse is in the UK

The Sun is a UK magazine at least and there are some references to the UK in the article.

Still not what you'd expect from any "1st world" country warehouse. I had an item delivered same day via Amazon 2 weeks ago. I was very impressed at the time. Now I just imagine in my head the likely exhausted people in the Houston warehouse rushing orders placed at 10 am out in time to be delivered by 5 pm (It was free for same day as well).

   Well I'm sure with our labor friendly laws and corporate responsibility, the conditions are much better at Amazon USA. If not, well, nothing a little MAGA and unicorn farts can't fix.

I did a little research, ( I know right). Seems like it is prevalent here also. I found it interesting because they are building a Huge DC near my house. I was talking to a buddy, who was looking for a job. He said  they had a really bad reputation, as an employer

Well at least Jeff Bezos is now with 100 billion dollars. That should help motivate their employees I guess :)

I am still waiting for the day that Amazon hikes up the prime membership. With the amount of shopping people do on Amazon, the free 2 day shipping is worth far more than 100 dollars a year.

and what point are you trying to make ?

   If you want to make #MAGA more than a slogan, here is the chance. Low wages, corporate irresponsibility, sweatshop environment at one of America's biggest retailers.  I mean, it's great for Amazon that they make billions and all, but workers falling asleep standing on their feet? I'm not sure this is the path to greatness.

It does depend on how you define "Greatness".

We could have a very strong economy with very poor worker conditions. Would that still be great? Where should the line be drawn? Other countries put a stronger priority on work-life balance, and help families achieve that. Their economy may not be as "great" as it could be (though there have been studies showing that improving work-life balance and offering more flexibility actually improves productivity), but their people are happier.

IIRC, Gawker (rip) used to do articles from employees that would talk about disturbing conditions working for Amazon. We've got their facilities all over the place nearby, and Baltimore is making an idiot of themselves to try and convince them to put a new HQ up or something... though the city is really secretive about just what we're offering..

   So his plan was to make America great or was it for things to stay the same? Seems like an opportunity here. Don't hold your breath.

It's truly amazing isn't it. Somehow a conversation about Amazon,  which has been in business for many years,  is immediately redirected to Trump. Waaaaa
