DS260 question

DS260 asks for last ten years of employers. My spouse who is in the medical field worked in a "house job" after her degree (the closest equivalent to US I can think of is residency). She did get paid for this house job.

 

Does this need to be mentioned as work experience on DS260? I ask since my spouse earlier applied for a visit visa and did not mention this on that visit visa application (either forgot or didn't think of this as employment back then).

 

If we mention it now would that be inconsistent with DS160 but i think we would have a good explanation for this.
