Address on I-751 evidence different than address we're physically living at [merged threads]

I see listed in sample evidence that marriage certificates in a US location were provided.  My wife and I married in her country.  No one has asked to see any marriage documents originating in the US, so we never bothered to have a second marriage here.  Will this be an issue?

My wife has her parents' address (in her home country) as the address on her (foreign) passport.  Is it ok if we leave it like this, or is it necessary to change it (and submit it as evidence for the i-751)?

We live at, and have notified USCIS that we're living at, a different address than our visa paperwork, medical bills, telephone bills, and everything else uses.  I've historically moved very often (every year), and we plan on continuing that trend, so we use my parents as a home of record.  Might this be a problem when submitting evidence?

Not a problem but you still have to do online change of address for immigrant and I-865 for the sponsor (USC) every time you move.

Married is married no matter where it happened. Provide a copy of marriage certificate and you'll be fine.

The only proviso is that if the marriage certificate is in another language (ie not English) you will probably need to provide a translation. But you don't need to "get married" - you are already married.

Not a problem if you move - but as @milimelo says - you have to file a change of address form for both of you each time you move. There are separate parts of the form for your physical address (where you actually live) and your mailing address (your parents' address).

@TBoneTX It looks like my question about using home of record instead of my actual physical address, and reporting physical address while constantly moving in an RV, was deleted or merged.  Do you consider them to be the same question as this one?

After reading this and now i think of it, I am just wondering if this would be an issue for me as well. 

 

When i did my AOS, i used to live with my inlaws and that's the address i used at the time for my AOS process. After i got my job, we got a place of ours and moved out but between myself and my Mrs., we decided to not change our mailing address so we have ALL OUR documents, including DLs, work stuff, bank docs etc etc etc all reflecting my inlaws address till we are able to buy a house of our own.

We got our rented Apartment in March '16 and i filed for my ROC May '17. 

Again, ALL our docs reflect my inlaws address, the only doc reflecting the Apt address is the lease docs i attached even though we've been at our APT for a while so what i did was to explain in the cover letter and made the whole "physical" and "mailing" address clear on both my cover letter and the form.

Now, am i expected to have done a "Change of Address" reflecting the resident address change to the Apartment since the time of my AOS even though my mailing address still remains the same? Or Should i have done anything else at all about this?

Yes. File changes of address (both of you have to file) for your physical address while leaving the mailing address the same.

Also, I am not really clear on this change of address thing. Why does it have to be the both of us to file that? Her parents were our Affidavit of support during AOS and their address remains the same.

Her parents may have been your joint sponsors, but your wife will still be listed as your primary sponsor, so she needs to fill out an I-865 (sponsor's change of address) and you need to fill out the AR-11.
