Security checks I-130

Hi, just a quick question if anyone of you wise people know the answer

Our PD April 3rd Potomac. Transferred August 23 to Vermont

Today still waiting. 

The question I have is.... At what stage are the security back ground checks done.. i.e. before or after they decide if it's a bonifide marriage?.  The reason I ask is because we have been stuck for months now at security checks 🤔

My guess is that they do them before they go through the bona fide marriage evidence. Not much you can do at this point except inquire if it's outside of normal processing times. It's taking closer to 8-9 months for I-130 approval these days. Hope you get your approval soon!

Yeah it's been almost 8 months now, well 238 days to be exact  not that im counting hehehe 🙊
