Court records

Hi everyone. I'm a bit bothered by the provision of court record as part of supporting documents. I have my marriage certificate and divorce decree,  please will that be OK?

Court records would be required if the beneficiary has been to court regardless of conviction or acquittal.

The only time I have been to court was during my divorce case. I have my divorce certificate with me

Then there arent any court records to provide.

It will be important to give copies of any previous arrest or court appearances and what was the final judgement.  If you are applying for a provisional waiver or another route you will want to make it known before they (immigration) finds out.  My hubby and i had to do provisional waiver and we submitted document and his waiver was approved.  Now our case is at NVC and they too requested a copy of court documents.

Thanks Christin. I have never been arrested before or sentenced, I  believe I may not be needing it

I went through the nvc site. They said the court record is only applicable if a person was arrested or jailed before.
