Read through the entire list of what is needed, specifically "How to Apply" -> "Gather the required documents to bring to your appointment". You should bring ties showing that you will return to Indonesia after your visit to the US, and will do so without violating status (i.e. via working in the US).

What are your ties to Indonesia?

You should have a good plan of what you intend to do in the US.

Apply for another visa...? To do what exactly?

Edit: This assumes you live in Indonesia now (not just be an Indonesian national).

It seems to be easier for Indo nationals to get a B visa if they live/work in a third country.  Jakarta is tough.

Ive heard people say once they land whoever stamps the passport determines how long you can stay is tht true?

Yes, up to a maximum of 6 months. When I was travelling on a B visa I had various dates put in, usually 6 months but occasionally only for 3 months. (I didn't actually realize this until i looked back at my passports recently, haha, but I think those were the conference-related trips that I was only there for a week or so anyway.)  I have heard of people being given even shorter than 3 months.

The embassy also decides how long your actual visa is valid for.  I've seen visas valid for 1, 5 and 10 years.

They want to see property you own / registered in your name, long-term lease on where you live, proof that you can fund your trip, proof that if something happens health wise you can cover it, proof of (good) employment, and strong family ties to return to.  It's good to shop but not buy travel health insurance and demonstrate that you intend to purchase it for your trip.

Why do you want to visit the US?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

OH and if you have ties to the US (family members, etc) they ding you for that too.  Strong ties to Indo, weak ties to the US combination is probably the best description of what they look for.
