Mom got her interview, what now?

She arrived at the consulate over an hour early. They called her to show the original documents for her birth certificate, marriage certificate and divorce decree.

The majority of her time was waiting. The lady said she was going to talk to the consul, about 20 min later the same lady called her again saying is only missing her medical exam (which she did last week but the hospital didn't get on time so they would ship to the consulate) once they receive that is all good. She didn't talk to a consul, they asked NO questions. I was kinda freaked out because besides showing her original documents there was no reason for her to be there.

Anyway that was it. So I'm guessing for IR5 they don't go through the hassle that K1or CR1 people go through with the interrogation.

The consulate received the medical exams last week (took over a week for the hospital ship that). She hasn't received the package with her passport on the mail yet. I will keep u updated, definitely tell us about your parents interview to compare notes.

so they went to the interview at 9 am this morning!

i guess everything went right, 

but my taxes wasnt enough!

which i dont understand because on my taxes i made $49,890

so they kept the passport and told them  to send a CO SPONSOR by FAX in order to send the the visa in to production!

so i guess it wasnt that bad!

Ok don't worry everything will work out. Is not a denial ao u are good. 

My mom got. An email with the tracking number for the passport. I w update when she received.

you right , but you know parents how they worried about everything

what im upset about is that NVC approved the taxes

but the consul didnt, if they knew it wanst enough they shouldve said some!

Mom just received today her package in the mail. Her turist Visa was cancelled and the immigrant visa is attached and valid for 6 months.

They gave the instructions with the paperwork in how to pay the fee.

So her interview was Dec 18th and now on Jan 9th she received her package back. Is official she is coming.

I will book her flight for the end of Feb since she needs to get rid of everything in the house.

I wish a good luck for u and your parents, I know soon they will be there with you

Hey 

my parents enter the us on their visa

jun 14 and paid the fee same day

but still haven’t received their greencard yet

did You mom received hers?

i put in 2 request in 

and they say is processing 

and we have to wait for the card to go to production
