Mom got her interview, what now?

She got her interview date for Dec 18th in Rio, now does she need to pay anything else after she gets approved? I paid all the fees so far but I'm not sure if they are going to charge her anything else after the interview. Just need to be sure she is prepared.

Also does she need to go back to Rio get her passport back?

Just another thing, she got an email confirmation for her interview but no letter so far, should I call NVC if they are going to send her a letter?

Thx for helping :)

Just print the email  and bring on her interview , you will not receive interview letter on mail,  the last charge will be the green card (plastic card), you no  need return to consulate to pick up the passport, you need do online to set pick up on CASV .  I advise you to receive the passport on CASV  near by you , because you know how the Brazilian couriers are (snail mail) , the  CASV  will notifies you by e-mail When the passport  is there, and then just make appointment to Pick up the passport,  another thing is dont' pay the green card fee late, my advice is pay online  before  you do the POE because the  production of your green card  depends when  the payment date is made, If you pay just after you got approved you will receive on 60 days.

My  Roc timeline:

08/16/19  sent I-751 packet to USCIS Lockbox in Dallas

08/21/19  packet received by USCIS

08/23/19: received extension letter in the mail

08/30/19 received fingerprint appointment letter

09/17/19  fingerprint appointment day (done)

Thank you all for the replies. This helps a lot.

I will pay for her green card as soon she gets approved before she comes to the US.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

Once Dec 18th after her interview I will post the results here to help someone else.

Hi ok here it go. She passed by the way.

She arrived at the consulate over an hour early. They called her to show the original documents for her birth certificate, marriage certificate and divorce decree.

The majority of her time was waiting. The lady said she was going to talk to the consul, about 20 min later the same lady called her again saying is only missing her medical exam (which she did last week but the hospital didn't get on time so they would ship to the consulate) once they receive that is all good. She didn't talk to a consul, they asked NO questions. I was kinda freaked out because besides showing her original documents there was no reason for her to be there.

Anyway that was it. So I'm guessing for IR5 they don't go through the hassle that K1or CR1 people go through with the interrogation.

Hope that helps.

I'm trying to pay the green card fee on the site https://ais.usvisa-info.com/pt-br/iv but there's no option for payment anywhere.

Can someone help?

Did you have received back the passaport and the envelope sealed  to show on port of entry? They shoud have attached one page with your information and the website address to make the green card fee, check it out.

Thx for the reply Sergiojax, no she hasn't received the passport yet. I will wait for that. I thought I could go ahead and pay before  her passport got back to her.

I will update once I make the payment :)
