Hi i had my immigrant visa interview last fri nov24. As i enter the room a filipina ask me all my documents while asking me a few questions suddenly i was shocked that our birth certificates are just photocopy not original! I have really no idea that there just photocopy! I became so frustrated then.after that we proceed to the consular officer ask me my finger prints ask few questions like what are my parents work, when did she go to the US, is there any other country you visited after that he said that all is ok and told me to go to the next window. There a filipina explained to me how to send the original birth certificates. Right after my interview went to PSA and gather our original PSA birth certificates and mailed them at 2Go.called them and said that embassy already received my documents. As i check my status its still in administrative process. I am so worried.how long it will take to process our visa because now i am 33wks pregnant and wish to give birth there or worst is there a possibility of visa denial? I am very frustrated of what happened. Its just a photocopy birth certificates😢

No one can tell you how long it will take. Administrative process takes as long as needed to review your case. You say it is "just a photocopy" but how do they know it is not a fraudulent document? That is why original birth certificates have extra security measures like watermarks, seals, and stamps to prevent fakes.

All that aside, if you are 33 weeks pregnant it is best to plan on having your child in your country just in case. The airlines may not even allow you to fly that far along in a pregnancy, especially if it is international. You may be too much of a risk to fly.
