Hi We filed our AOS package, and recieved NOA for Advanced Parole on Aug 17th, we also had a RFIE.

We were hoping to visit my husbands home country on Dec 20th but are now getting nervous we wont get the card in time.

What we have tried.  Service Request.  pending 24 days, no worker assigned.

Tried to expedite based on job offer (hoping for a EAD/AP combo card) on day 30, denied

Contacted our congressperson at day 90

Contacted our senator at day 95

Is there anything else you all can think of to try to hurry this along?  does it make sense to try to expedite on same job offer, with new start date?

It is currently day 101 since NOA

Thanks

You may get it in hand before the 20th. Don't make any plans you aren't able to change before having it in hand. Most are taking close to 4 months right now.

The RFIE effectively resets the counter in terms of getting USCIS to treat it as being beyond normal processing times. In practical terms, the RFIE seems to only pause the counter until they get the response, though.

You can try to expedite again, but doing so with the same reason is unlikely to have a different result.

Good News,  my husband called uscis this morning and they said the service request has been closed because the the AP and EAD were approved on Nov 21st.  Guess the online status is not always up to date

Thanks Everyone! :)
