Ohk that will be of great help, I have only visited other countries for a short duration never stayed over 6 months.

You would get PCC from your local police station in Mumbai. It can take more than a month, may be even two. You have to constantly follow-up with them. The certificate has an expiry date, so I wouldn't get it too soon. NVC will only accept police certificates with a valid date. 

Ok, i thought we have to get it from the regional Passport office.
