So I want to apply for a tourist visa to visit my younger brother in Chicago for two weeks. He finished graduating a few months ago and now he's on F1 OPT visa... What are my chances? I have a decent job and I've been engaged since 5 months. I'm from India btw :)

It is impossible for us to say, but from what you say here, it';s not a bad chance.  All you can do is show the best ties you can, and hope for the best.  If you have travelled abroad before, make sure to mention that.

I've never travelled abroad :(

Never really had a good reason to do that but I want to check out the US now because of my brother.

As mentioned, all you can do is provide the evidence you have and give it a try. Do you own any property?

Just so you know, an engagement is not a strong tie.

No, I do not. I live with my parents.

I do have a good job though and I have an approved leave for 2 weeks exactly.

All you can do is apply and find out.  Bears similarities to this thread, key words engaged/India.

General advice is to apply.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

just show your ties to back home! you have a good job. you are engaged back home! having money in your bank account helps.  having records of how much you make too. you have a 50/50 shot i would say!  better odds then most:)
