Same, it's just one disappointment after another and I'm sick of it. They keep saying it can take up to 2 weeks. This Thursday will be 2 weeks for me, I wonder what they'll say then. They'll probably just start saying 4 weeks.

For some reason, us Canada peeps are getting passed up .... Even though this Thursday is 2 weeks for me as well and I received a case # on 01/19, mine still says "At NVC", as does every other case # from that day that starts with MTL (I ran other #'s by changing the last digit of the case #, everyones is... "At NVC".). Yes, it's extremely frustrating  when other people from other countries mysteriously get a case # even the SAME DAY the case arrives at the NVC, and then it's off to the embassy right away.

When I last talked to the NVC last week just before I had a case #, I asked about Expedited Processing because we got so delayed by the USCIS. The agent said "Oh, K1's are expedited! We just issue a case # and send it to the embassy right away!"... Uhm, so why are ours still sitting at the NVC collecting dust with all the other Canada apps? While some people on here from other countries who's case arrived at the NVC a week after ours...had their case # and shipped to embassy within 2-3 days? Some already are setting up interviews...

Things have changed, mine was sitting there for 6 days until they sent it to the consulate. I think they are taking a little longer. I know it is frustrating but it is better than USCIS times.

I hope it will be ready at the end of this week or at the beginning of the next one.

I'm not sure about this but I think it depends on the amount of cases they have in specific US Embassies. There are just a handful of cases here in Kuwait for K1 or CR-1/IR-1 visas so our case number was provided and processed faster than the other US Embassies.  Just my 2 cents. ^_^ I'm annoyed though coz my interview date is further away than I expected because of the holidays here in Kuwait.

I'm guessing it's a different process for us and seems like for Brazil too. They keep saying something about it being a new electronic case. But that should make things faster. If it's electronic then they can just instantly send it to the embassy so I don't get why they haven't sent yours yet. And like you said other countries still have theirs at the embassy within a couple of days so I don't understand how this new process is supposed to be any better.

I also blame USCIS for holding onto our approved petitions for 6 weeks and then suddenly just sending them in bulk. That probably is causing a bit of a backlog at NVC

I don’t understand how it’s taking days to send something electronically. NVC says they sent it on jan 18 and it’s still saying in transit. WTH How freaking long does it take?!?!? I’m tired of all this waiting around time.

Sorry to ask, but, what did they send electronically?

Hello everyone! I just received a notice from NVC that they got our petition.

My fiance is gonna call and ask if they have assigned the case number.

I have a question: can/should I schedule interview as soon as I get my case number or should I wait until the case reaches the embassy in Russia(my consulate)? I am a little bit confused...

My princess is at the USA Embassy as I write this for her interview. She believes there are non-stop flights from Manila to Los Angeles besides Philippine Airlines. Does anyone know of other non-stop flights? I have searched all the basic sites and I think she is mistaken.

Schedule as soon as you can. Russia is a big problem currently: very long wait for available interview dates.
