Your fiancé just have to go for interview after Rio consulate send the email that the case arrived there.

Yes, so far I didnt get an actual email from them. I got one from the NVC saying they sent my case and should be receiving info on what to do next from the Rio Consulate, in the meantime have your fiance fill out the DS160. But when i put my case # in it says my case is Ready at the rio consulate. So wasnt sure if i should wait for an email or letter from Rio or can go ahead and schedule.

Yes, you should. Sometimes the case wasn't arrived at the Consulate and you fiancé can get troubles. My advice is, getting everything ready but before she leaves for exams and interview she need to send email to them asking if the package was arrived

Just received a physical letter from the NVC in the mail saying that our case has been sent to the Bangkok embassy on 01/19/17.

We've actually seen it online on the CEAC tracker on the 18th already, so now waiting for the transit to be over - let's see how long that'll take. It does say on the letter that it could be "several weeks"..

According to Shoegums nvc spreadsheet, many cases get to their respective embassy in under 10 days!

Good Luck and Congrats!

No, same one. I just take note of when people say they’ve made their embassy appointment and then check their names against the spreadsheet🙂

Hello Guys, we have learnt today that our case is at NVC, and we got our number! How long does it take NVC to forward our case to the US consulate? Can I now book my medical exam even though my case is still at NVC?

Each embassy is different. If you go to the home page on VJ you can find the sub forum for your country🙂

Congrats!

My fiance called a few minutes ago: NO number yet <_<

We are tired , he will call just Wednesday , I am tired

Just called and same result. I don't understand how other cases are getting the number on the same day that it's received while mine is taking over a week just to enter in the system. Makes no sense to me.

Ours got there on the 8th, began processing on the 12th and number on the 18th.

Ive has my congressman involved since about 2 months ago and it’s just backlogging, daca, staff shortages.... life basically.

Hang in there and be glad you’re through the USCIS part of it🙂

I got approved kind of late compared to other people with my NOA1 date without an RFE so it just sucks to get left behind again 😞. I thought that NVC would at least process things in order received since all they do is forward the cases.
