First my paperwork was sent to the NRC by mistake and then, after they got my paperwork back and gave me a new NOA2 date, they misplaced my paperwork.  I finally got this today, though - "Your case has been forwarded to the National Visa Center. Please allow 30 days from the date of this letter for the NVC to receive the case and enter it into the systems." :jest:

Omg I would be extremely mad!!! I don’t know how you are so calm.

Just called NVC and received my case number!!! YAY!!! Best day of the year so far!

Congrats. I’ve called three times today already so I’m kind of hesitant of calling a fourth right now. My plan is to call after 7pm tonight because I called after 7pm last night for case received so I’m giving them full 24 hours to have this in the system.

Hopefully they'll have it, sounds like they've been assigned case numbers all day today :)

Just called the NVC and got our case number as well.

Received yesterday - today case number has been assigned.

I wish USCIS would have been so prompt ;)

Let's see how long it will take to transfer to the embassy now..

Hey guys. Just called NVC and was told that they are currently working on my case! YAAAAAAY! Funny thing is I called yesterday and they said they didn't have it yet but today they said they are working on it. I was also told that they got it on Jan 8 so I guess it took a little while to be processed in. I'm sooooo happy right now just knowing they are moving my case along and it's out of USCIS. They told me I should have a case number within two weeks but I will start calling in a few days. Just thought I would share with all of you. Keep the faith =)

Are you all waiting for ceac to say ready to schedule interview and medical or are you scheduling as soon as you receive your number?

I booked my medical for Feb 6th, but now I'm paranoid I won't get the appointment letter in time to take with me! Fingers crossed it will come through in time. I just got over excited and couldn't wait!

Great news today. Got our case number after just a few days at NVC. They're sending it along to the embassy and we also got approved for "expedited processing" though I'm really not sure if that means anything or not. Anyone else receive a separate email along those lines after they were assigned a case number?
