Just got our case number!  11/25/2017 NOA2.  Didn't even show the case received yesterday so they assigned the case number pretty quickly.

Congrats!!! I'm also 11/25, but haven't received anything yet. I'll be calling them today to hopefully have my case number assigned.

changing consulates is a NIGHTMARE. incase it happens to anyone else, they have said it can add 3 months onto your waiting time! I DO NOT NEED THIS STRESS

it sounds easier to just go to wherever the NVC/USCIS sent the case rather than go through the hassle of changing it

Guys, I have a question about proof of employment. We are sending LES documents (those are leave and earning statements in case you don’t know, basically like a pay stub from the DOD) from the military, as well as a copy of my orders along with tax returns and w2s. Do we need to send a letter from the DOD stating I am employed? It’s next to impossible to get that in my company.

I have my fiance LES and ERB, he confirmed with other mixed nationality couples, and that was more then enough as a supporting docs for I-134, instead of employment conformation letter etc.

Are you active duty or a DOD contractor? My fiancé is works for the DOD and we asked the embassy in advance for the requirements during the interview. They said to bring tax transcripts or tax returns 1040 with W2 and a copy of his employment certificate with the company logo on it. If you have LES and a copy of your orders with the military logo on it then it’s fine.

Wow what happened@?

First my paperwork was sent to the NRC by mistake and then, after they got my paperwork back and gave me a new NOA2 date, they misplaced my paperwork.  I finally got this today, though - "Your case has been forwarded to the National Visa Center. Please allow 30 days from the date of this letter for the NVC to receive the case and enter it into the systems." :jest:
