Just for the record my cell phone (Tmobile) marked it as a Spam-Caller when they first called, but my spam calls still ring on my phone. It was a really weird number like 1-800-000-0000 (all zeros) or something like that. But it was marked Red and my phone said "SPAM LIKELY". So if you have some kind of spam-filtering or something setup with your cell phone company to auto-block spam calls, that could be why. I don't think any officers are physically calling people -- it's actually an automated computer system that just dials the phones in the next queue. When I got the call back, it was the automated system saying "This call is your requested call back", or something like that. Please standby while we transfer you to an officer". I waited like 2 minutes and the Tier 2 officer came on.

Wow im going to deactivate it and hopefully when i call again tomorrow i actually get a call back. Thank you so much @aviator99

Hopefully it works.

I am removing these right NOW

Oh man! Glad I could help!!! I really hope that's all it was but i'm tellin ya man i'm sure that's probably what it was cause it just doesnt make sense that the system wouldn't call you back. When I saw the number on my phone I even thought "Huh...is that really the USCIS? Well it's 2 hours like they said I guess i'll answer...", cause the number was so weird and it was marked as a scam call. But sure enough it was them (well, the automated computer system that is).

I just checked Tmobiles site as to what Scam Block meant and it meant this:

"With Scam Block, all calls from known scammers are blocked and will not reach your phone. Now available with all postpaid plans at no additional charge. To turn on Scam Block please dial #ONB# (or, #662#)."

Great feature but horrible in this case, lol. I'm sure that's all it was man! It just makes sense to me

When you wrote to them What did information did you provide? I would like to write to them as my NOA2 is Nov14th and seems like everyone in my week got to NVC besides me.

I just provided my approval date and mu case number, and in my own words asked them to look into where is my petition and whether it was sent or not. And that's it.

how often do you all contact NVC to check to see if they got your case?

Every day now! 😂

Hi everyone

I got my application approved 12/29/2017

...it says that my file has been forwarded to us embassy where the interview will take a place. .I am little bit confused 😕

It wasn't supposed to be forwarded to the NVC first.?!

Can anyone clarifyfor me please

Thanks

Some noa2s says that, it is just a template. It is going to NVC as all k1 cases do :)

For anyone who got their case number - did you get a letter in the mail or did your beneficiary?

The petitioner gets a letter from NVC. It took like a week for us to get it.

Thank you. A week after it reaches the embassy or a week after you got your case number over the phone?

A week after we got our case number over the phone.

But my fiance lives in MA, which is pretty close to NH. I'm not sure how long it would take to reach other states!

My fiancé had a theory . For the mid November peeps . So it was approved mid November . It takes a few weeks to send . Hits thanksgiving so doesn’t move . Then it goes into like a 4 week wait to be mailed , hits Christmas and new year ! So no wonder there are taking time , we got approved at the worst time for holidays!

Maybe, but the slowing down started with late October files. I would honestly like to hear someone from USCIS give us a plausible reason for thousands of approved files to sit in a mail room for almost 2 months.

We will

never know . And we are not the first and I’m sure we won’t be the last to have experienced slow USCIS processing times . They have their money they don’t need to do anything else
