I emailed NVC as soon as I hung up the phone with them last night and got the automated response in my email this morning.

We got our case number! Called on Friday and case hadn't been received, called back just now and we got our case number! The woman at NVC laughed at my fiance for being so excited.

NOA2 November 16th

NVC case number January 9th

Keep on pushing everyone, you're nearly there!

Side note - I'm not able to edit the spreadsheet from my phone, if someone could do it for me I'd be grateful!

Have you called and asked nvc to make an inquiry with USCIS?

Have you talked to a tier 2 with USCIS and asked for the date it was mailed out to nvc?

JUST got notice from my attorney that we heard back from NVC. It has arrived. No case number yet, but thank God, finally progress.

Just called NVC again...nothing there yet for us; NOA 11/21. I am not surprised though cause USCIS Tier 2 told me my case was shipped January 5th (last Friday). USCIS wouldn't tell me how it was shipped (avoided the question) but the guy at NVC said they come DHL. I'm guessing the slowest service by DHL which is DHL Retail Ground Mail. Went to DHL's website... DHL says that service takes  6 business days not counting the day shipped (I selected ship from San Bernadino CA to ship-to Portsmouth NH; thats where that time came from). So if all of this is correct...my 11/21 (and probably tons others) will arrive at the NVC on January 15th. Problem with Jan 15th is that it's Martin Luther King day...most government places are closed and i'm sure the NVC is closed this coming Monday :rolleyes:

So if all of this is correct..looking at a January 16th arrival for NOA2 11/21. Just what we need, another closure day on Monday to backlog everything even more. So annoying.

Hopefully this helps others with estimates. Hoping and praying maybe it will arrive this week...ugh. It is REALLLLLY hard for my fiance now as it feels like we were expecting to be together end of November...then December...then Christmas...oh wait, worst case January...now FEBRUARY...what's next? MARCH?

NVC also told me they send everything to the embassy electronically, not shipped. Wonder if this is true? I thought they ship the whole packet to the embassy?

How did you get a date for your delivery? As we called and asked for a tier 2 and he said he had to put in a request with CSC to find anything out for us , even though we thought they would have all this on the system lol! It just keeps getting worse and worse

Ugh that's frustrating, I really think it depends on the officer you talk to as well. Like any job you deal with some competent employees and others whom are incompetent.  I'm wondering if the reason they put in a request to find anything out for you was because he couldn't find it marked as shipped yet. When I called (I never called USCIS yet, first time just yesterday morning), I made up some story about requiring to talk to Tier 2. The Tier 1 transferred me right away. The automated system said it'd call me back in 120 minutes. Got called back 2 hours later as expected. Woman was very nice; I just straight up asked "I'm looking to find out when my case was shipped from the California Service Center to the National Visa Center". She said okay, I can look into that for you. Do you mind if I put you on hold? She put me on hold for about 5 minutes. Came back and said "Sir? Your case was shipped out on January 5th, just a few days ago". I asked what is the cause of all these delays and she said "Unfortunately we don't keep notes in our system, so I don't have any information on that". I asked her was it shipped USPS Priority Mail? I read somewhere online that's what you guys use? She said "We use a document delivery service". I was like...is it the post office? She just said "Uhm...well... [pause]... we use a document delivery service". It kind of felt like either she didn't know or didn't want me to know...so I just stopped asking that. I asked how long will it take to arrive in New Hampshire? She said to allow up to 30 days for it to arrive at the NVC. That was all I asked then we hungup.

I don't believe it'll take up to 30 days...there is NO shipping service that takes that long in America. So when I called NVC today...this guy was sharp. We just chit chatted for a bit like normal men and I said "Man! What's the deal with all these delays from California to you guys? Any idea?"... he said "Yeah we've had a lot of delays! I know last week we started contacting the USCIS out there asking them to start pushing these cases here". I said Yeah tell me about it...they FINALLY shipped our case out January 5th. He kind of chuckled and said "Yeah we really apologize about all the delays, I honestly dont know why it's taking so long out there but I know they got overwhelmed out there with so many applications".

I -DID- ask the guy at NVC... "So from your experience, what dates have you seen coming through so far? We should be around November 17th or so?"... Angus: "Honestly man? It's all over the place. It's trickling in from all different dates. There's really no rhyme or reason to it but i've seen some even from October still, some early November, some what you mentioned middle of November".

I asked can I put in a request to expedite our case immediately when it arrives? He said "Well that's the thing! K1 is expedited cause all we do is scan all the documents and transfer them to the embassy electronically. We just assign a case number, scan everything and send it right away. It's as fast as it can get already". I said well, can I have ours processed immediately when it arrives? He said "Well that just depends on how large their shipment is and how busy they are on that day. I can't guarantee that but it will never take longer than a couple weeks. I've neveeeeerrr seen it take longer than that for K1's".

Yeah we just got some guy who didn’t understand the case number , then asked for social security number and names instead and then read back the same case number we had told him 5 mins before haha , then he said I’ll have to request this information from CSC so I’ll put in a request for you

Oh I forgot...the NVC guy, as I mentioned...said the cases come DHL.

I'm very away with shipping couriers because I have an online business and I know DHL has something called "DHL Global Solutions", or something like that. Basically, it's SLOW, but ULTRA cheap and excellent for documents/paperwork for major companies/businesses/etc. When he said DHL...I immediately thought, ah, what I figured...something super slow. It's basically the post offices version of Media Mail. Media Mail is ultra cheap, but ULTRA slow. And yeah, like 6-8 business days coast to coast for USPS Media Mail.

I googled "DHL Estimate Delivery Time". Found DHL's site. Selected Origin; California; City; San Bernadino -- Destination; New Hampshire; City -- Portsmouth. Selected a ship day of this Friday (1/12) (it wouldn't let me select Friday Jan 5th since its in the past).

Ship date of Jan 12th said delivery date of Jan 22nd. Deduct 1 week from that and we're looking at January 15th. Problem with that is that its MLK day and NVC will probably be closed. So i'm thinking 01/16 arrival. There is always a possibility with these slow services that they may arrive early, too. Especially if they go over a weekend. Since mine was shipped Friday, and 2 days were the weekend, it's possible it made up a day and could arrive this Friday.

Just all estimates and info from the DHL website using their slowest possible service.

It’s like an endless battle , “please wait 6 months “ then please wait 4 weeks lol, then please wait 6 weeks , then 8 weeks , then 30 days then 90 days! Hahaha they don’t have a clue
