Hello all!  I have a question if anyone in this filter finishes the NVC stage and has gone to embassy in their country yet?

NVC has received my affidavit of support (I-864) packet on Jan 5th 2018. Should I call them sometimes a week or two after to verify they receive it ? or will they email me or give me a physical mail or do i need to check online? and also once they receive it do I have to wait 30 days from the day they received it for a response before sending to embassy in my wife's home country? basically want to know how to keep checking regarding the AOS packet I sent. Thank you all in advance and good luck!!

You are on the wrong thread - Its K-1 November approvals so noone is having their cases processed by NVC like you. K-1 are just getting a case number there and being forwarded to the USEM for final processing

Guys and gals!

where on here did I read that at Knightsbridge you must ask the fictir to note and sign something for your future AOS application?

i read they will not give it to you unless you ask directly.

orherwise they just say, all your medical is on the cd that is sent to the embassy

Filling out the vaccination record is part of your medicals you are paying for and panel physician should give you a copy without asking. Just ask if you dont get your copy (that shouldn't happen). Mine did everything very proffesionally and there was no need to ask any questions. I also recommend investing in any vaccinations panel phisician will suggest. Cheaper then getting them later in states, also getting a compleleted vac. reccord means you are perfectly ready for AOS :)

I contacted the physician clinic and scheduled my medicals before my case reached US Embassy in Poland (confirmed with them if thats not a problem). All I needed was NVC case number. It might be different in each country. Got letter from the USEM today, they didnt ask for any papers in advance, waiting for my interview Jan 16 th yeyeye :D

Hi,

For the I134 form, page 4, item 38. it asks to select intend or do not intend to make specific contribution. I have searched online and I saw many people selected I intend, then in part7 additional information they put N/A k1 visa. any chance you can confirm with your friend ?

Yeah I will. Will get back to you soon.

Hi @Cristina24 next step for you to do is to check on your status online..

• You can check it at: ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx Click immigrant and enter the case number.

• After checking your status. Make sure the status of your visa is:

• AT NVC - meaning your case still sitting at their office

• IN TRANSIT - meaning your case is on the way to United States Embassy

• READY - your case is already received and ready for interview at USEM.

• By then you can start paying your visa fee. Bring your printed MRV Slip together with your passport and money.

• MRV Slip: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/pmisdepositslip.htm?amount=265&country=philippines for you to be able to have it done in one bond paper, right click and select ALL. Right click and select COPY. Go to MS Word and right click PASTE. Select ALL and adjust the font size.

While waiting for you interview you can can accomplish the DS160 here: https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx

• Schedule your interview here: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

Thank you so much! :) I had a look at the site you gave me to make an appointment. Not doing it yet but I looked into the site for curiosity and its not accepting my email address where it says type email.  My email is just a regular @hotmail - one.

It says :Unable to validate captcha. Please try again. .

You need to ask in the CR/IR1 forum. Processing for K1 is totally different at the NVC stage than CR1/IR1.

NOA2 11/21 here... I just called USCIS and talked to a Tier 2 officer. It was the first time I ever called USCIS thus far, I just wanted to know if my case was shipped to the NVC yet. Officer put me on hold and then said that my case was mailed on 01/05, just 3 days ago.

So hopefully that helps others with timing...my 11/21 NOA2 was shipped just a few days ago (from the California service center). I did ask the officer how they ship them and she said something like "We have our own transportation for our documents". Very vague answer. I said I thought you shipped them via USPS Priority Mail? She didn't answer that and just reiterated that they have their own way of transporting the documents, but that my case was indeed in transit to NVC already.

Does anyone know how the USCIS ships the cases to the NVC? I thought it was Priority Mail...but i'm not sure. I could've sworn I read that somewhere. Either way thank god the case left the black hole that is the California USCIS.

I havent called the NVC today but I doubt they would've received it already. Maybe later this week? Crossing my fingers...

I feel ya....We are NOA2 11/15, and after calling NVC for weeks I was informed that they finally received the case today.  However, the agent told me it would be another two weeks to get it in the system and generate a case number.  That seems ludicrous and something they are told to say.  Generally, I wonder how long should it be from received to case #?

Call Friday. My understanding is usually about a week.
