I’m the USC, lol😉

We are already approved.

Just waiting for NVC # so we can schedule medical and embassy interview🙂

if it helps, our noa2 is Nov 22nd and NVC told us to call back next week as they are around the 15-18th Nov at the moment . So you're not far off.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. That looks to be on track too based on the spreadsheet -- looks like people in the Nov 15th range are already getting theirs as of earlier this week, so add another week and by next week this time, hopefully the next-week of Novembers (19th thru 25th) will get theirs. We're Nov 21st here. Hopeful for this coming week as well.

Thanks, yes it is indeed!

No patience here no, we called the 0700 number once a day, and before we got the response that it wasn't in the system. But I am a bit confused about that received date too. My SO called later last night, right before they closed, again, just to check if they might have a case number already since it has been four days. The person he talked to explicitly told him it was received today, when the other person told me before explicitly it was January 1st. So honestly not sure what to think. I put in 1st in the spreadsheet and the timeline but putting in the 5th might be more accurate? Considering we found out today. I jut don't understand why the first Customer service Representative would have said 1st to begin with (she volunteered that info, it wasn't me asking about it).

Either way, I am happy it's finally at NVC and hopefully it will go fast from here!

Thanks for the info! That's kind of what I thought, their answers are so weird sometimes. My guess is they didn't get it on the 1st but probably the 5th...I would think? Or maybe the girl misspoke and meant the 2nd (maybe she forgot they were closed on the 1st). I can't imagine NVC was open on the 1st when every other government entity is closed. I also know some people get one answer on the 0700 number then can call back on the other number (non-immigrant line) and get a different answer from someone else. But either way yours is for sure there as of this week so that's a good thing. Let's hope for a super fast turnaround to the embassy now, crossing our fingers there

Thank you, you mean calling USCIS and pushing them to send my case to nvc?

Yeah, although one poster said doing this may risk your wait time being even longer than usual. So weigh the risks versus rewards!

That's what I suspect too. I will put in the 5th then, seems more accurate.

On another note: Does anyone here know when we are supposed to submit the DS-160 to the embassy? Is it allowed to submit it before the case reaches the embassy officially? I am finding conflicting opinions about this on the internet.

Also, I always assumed we only can finish the DS-160 with the NVC number, but we just went through it and after checking twice, I can't find a spot to put the number in (only one item where it explicitly asks for the USCIS number). We have not printed the document yet, so maybe it comes after that, but insight from other members would be appreciated.

Good luck to everyone for Monday!

I was wondering the same thing about the DS-160. I filled it out but didn't submit it and couldn't see anywhere that asked for the NVC case number.

We only really need the NVC case number to book the medical don't we? Once we have that case number we know the application is on its way to the embassy and shouldn't be too long to wait.

Yes you do not have to wait for NVC case number to file DS-160. Some on this forums have submitted the DS-160 even before the NOA2 approval and did not have any issues.

NVC Case number is needed for medical and setting interview date. So you can submit the DS-160 ahead of time aswell if you wish.

NOA2 Nov 22. Still waiting.

Looks like we have the same NOA2 date. I'd say we're in the same boat, dude.

We need DS-160 aplication confirmation page printed to enter the interview, so anytime before interview is good ;) I filled mine after case changed to ready status.

Ds160 submitted today.

UK beneficiary

Ive read a few times that you can book medical and interview once you have NVC number and DO Not have to wait until it says in transit or ready.

Has anyone done this with the London Embassy?

What happens if you’re a few days from your interview and nvc still says in transit.

Where will the embassy put your medical results as well if nvc still has your paperwork?

thanks all🙂

Seven and a half weeks from NOA2 approval. Still nothing. Our lawyer sent an inquiry last week, but I’m feeling so down. I’m having a hard time this weekend. Feeling very depressed. I really thought he’d hear something last week.

Nothing.
