For those that got a letter from NVC, did the USPS send an Informed Delivery Daily Digest or was it just in your mailbox?

Also I was wondering, how often are you guys communicating with your significant other during the NVC wait process? I honestly hate to tell nothing has happened yet and we are still painfully waiting

Don't quite understand what you mean. We communicate as frequently as we always did, which is a mix of constant texting and 1-2 calls per day. If anything, we communicate even more through this as we keep each other updated (only one of us reads the forum, but we alternate calling NVC) and as the wait is frustrating us equally, we also vent more about it to each other.

@Catseal   I called (800) 375-5283

Chose the option to check on the status of my case, input the WAC receipt number  (WAC is 922 on the dialpad) and then afterwards it offers an option to be connected to  customer service representative if you have any questions,

I hope this helps.

@k1visaapplicant05

Informed delivery will not speed up anything It only comes in a few hrs before the actual mail comes to your mailbox.

It is just a scan of the incoming mail, convenient to see if any mail arrives while you are at work or away from home. Or as in my case, since the mailbox is not in front of the house. just to save the walk to the mailbox.

Yes, I have and it's definitely going to be over 40 days for us as people approved in early november are barely getting case numbers...We got approved early december so it'll be a while.

There's weather advisory in effect for the North-East coast of North America at the moment. The NVC is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire right in the thick of it. For their city, there's a Blizzard Warning in effect. The Weather Network shows an advisory against commuting, especially in the evening.

They are expecting 11-15 inches of snow and from what I can tell, already have some accumulation on the ground. Brrr!

I want things to move forward in the worst way, but if I were them, I'd be staying home from work today too! :blink:
