Did you mean 5 days because it says sent and received just 5 days apart in December...?

nevermind. I see the time accounted for includes from NIA2 Approval to it actually being sent.

May I ask you a question though please?

Does your Noa2 copy state that it has been sent to the NVC?

Thats what mine says but I’m hearing a lot that they ship in batches so I don’t believe it’s actually been sent.

thank you

Yeah that’s not meant to be taken literally. It just means that your file is no longer being processed at USCIS and it’s been handed off to NVC processing. It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s been sent yet. There are only two different types of noa2 that we’ve seen in this forum: one that’s been sent to NVC and the other is it’s been sent to embassy but apparently that is not the reality and those files also get sent to NVC first. It’s the way they word it.

So I was approved NOA2 on Dec 22, and the next event is for the documents to be mailed from USCIS to NVC. A mundane administrative task should not take 6 weeks.

Unless there is something I am missing and they are doing some extra processing on the cases?

It should take up to 6 weeks but our took 51 days to reach NVC. Hopefully you will get your case number sooner! best of luck

Right now it takes at least 6 weeks for everyone, something caused the change but not necessary an extra processing. Maybe there is a chance they will go back to faster processing times next year :)

Hmm, if no extra processing should be no extra waiting :protest:

But I am just started so can't complain yet. Hope the rest of you get your NVC done in short order!

Guys, it’s 30 days before submitting an inquiry right?

Not 30 actual working days?

Also,  I’ve currently no way to scan my NOA2 and can only attach a screenshot picture from my phone (which  is blurry😔)

Has anyone Done this and received a reply that it was okay?

thank you

Yeah, why wouldn’t they be? Christmas was yesterday.

From what someone posted here before, they got an answer back from NVC saying the noa2 attachment on their email was illegible and they had to send a clearer file. So I’m going to assume they will most likely say the same about your blurry picture. Also someone else mentioned to send out a pdf file of noa2 and not a picture file like jpeg and whatnot.

I do believe it’s 30 calendar days and not business days for everything during this process.

You can use the Google Drive app on your phone.  That's what I use.  Just select the scan option and it will allow you to use your camera to "scan" something to a pdf.  It allows multiple pages and naming.  It also does some cropping and filtering that makes it turn out quite nice.

All of the deadlines are in actual days, not business days, so you should be fine.  I've submitted mine on the 30 and 60 day marks and they went through.  Just don't expect it to move your case along.  While they might be working today, I wouldn't bother calling until giving them some time to work ;)  I doubt they even had time to start their coffee....

I sent them an email on Xmas and got an answer this morning:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not have a record of receiving your petition.

It can take at least six weeks for the National Visa Center (NVC) to receive an approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and enter it in the U.S. Department of State's database system. If it has been less than six weeks since USCIS approved your petition, you don't need to take any action at this point.

If USCIS approved your petition more than six weeks ago, please send us a scanned copy of your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. You can attach the scanned copy to an email, and send it to nvcresearch@state.gov.

In the subject line of your email, please type the original receipt number from your I-130 Approval Notice. If you have more than one petition, send a separate email for each petition. Once we receive the copy of your approval notice, we will contact USCIS to find your petition.

Before you send us an email, please check your Notice of Action and make sure it says your petition was approved. If it says that USCIS kept your petition, or if it is a notice other than an approval, you should contact USCIS for more information. You can contact them on their website at uscis.gov, or by telephone at 1-800-375-5283.

That's the standard email everyone gets from them after submitting an inquiry no matter how long it's been.
