Yep! When the case reaches to the embassy they will call and then send an email with the invitation letter with all the instructions for the interview and the copy of approved I-129f petition.

Anita do you know how many days it take to change the status on the NVC tracker? right now it says In Transit, I believe its when it says ready for interview we should start with the visa application and all that process, and also that's when he will receive the call from the consulate for the invitation?

Well, my fiancé had his interview on Tuesday and he said it went really smoothly and the interviewer said we're approved... I think? They didn't take his passport, but they did take his pictures and fees. The interview said we had a "really easy case" which our lawyer was very happy about. She says we're likely in administrative processing and it's routine and we just have to be patient.

Anyone else have this situation? I thought if they approved you they always took your passport to process the visa, but our lawyer seems to think this is all pretty routine and we just have to wait while they do a few more checks. The interviewer told David it would be "maximum two months." So...

More hurry up and wait. I'm so ready for him to be here.

It took us about 3 weeks for the case to reach the embassy. You can start preparing all the docs you will need till it gets to the embassy. But yes. You can wait till the embassy sends you the invitation. After you get the invitation, you can schedule your medical examination and fill the DS-160 form. After filling the form you must pay the fee and schedule your interview date.

Hello everyone, I assume this question has been asked before, nevertheless please share your experience.

How long does the administrative processing for approved K1 visa usually take? I read in other forums that it can take months, but that's insane. My visa was approved on  22 Feb, and still no news.

I had a question that may not go here, but please direct me if applicable. My fiancé arrived in the USA last week and we will be getting married March 17 (K1 visa). My question is, where is she able to travel for our honeymoon? I would guess we could go to Hawaii as it is the USA....but what about an Alaskan Cruise that must make a stop in Canada. Or a Mexican cruise that leaves from Los Angeles. Not sure about the law here and don't want to get in trouble...Thanks in advance for your answer(s).

she cannot leave the country until she has an advance parole issues. Do not go on a cruise ship as you are leaving the US ( know for sure - used to work on one).

Canada is as well considered leaving the US.

I would say find a place here in. the US. it's a huge country ;)

Hello Sona,

Would you please tell me how long it took the NVC to send your case to your hometown after they received it?

Thank you

Thanks for the answer.

That's not too long actually.

It shouldn't take longer..actually for me (when my whole process took more than 600 days) after NOA2, the rest of the process went smooth and fast. Good luck!
