Hi I'm new here.

My fiance who is a US citizen is living with me in Nepal and she doesn't have enough income to be above the poverty line. Neither do I.
We can ask her parents to filll the affidavit of support i 134 but I am more comfortable making my cousins sign it.
They are permanent residents in the US.

So my question is, I've heard there are some drawbacks to having relatives of the immigrant sign the i134 ? will putting my brothers up for this harm my case?

Can I use two brothers as sponsor and co-sponsor? or just 2 cosponsors?
Because she has no income. Does she have to fill the form despite that?

Thank you guys!

I thought the K1 allowed one joint sponsor, relationship is immaterial.

As long as the co-sponsor is a US citizen or LPR, he/she can submit and sign a I-134 or I-864 (depending on what stage you're at). All the best!

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

It says in this guy's video that having the joint sponsor as a relative of the immigrant is a bad decision.

And, it says on this https://www.usavisanow.com/k-1-fiance-visa/k-1-visa-affidavit-of-support/joint-sponsors/ (and some other webs) that number of sponsors is unlimited.

Was just posting here to see how true that info is
