Approved EB-1A I-140, switch jobs after receiving EAD but before GC?

Hello,

I currently have an approved I-140 EB-1A, and a pending I-485/I-765/I-131 filed in October. My current visa status is O-1

1. Is there a consequence to switching jobs before obtaining the EAD? My current O-1 does not have any grace period so I feel like this is risky, but I'm wondering what the community here thinks.

2. After receiving an EAD through the I-765, I assume it is safe to switch jobs. However, does the new job need to be a particular type? (My EB-1A is self petitioned)

3. Am I obligated to find a new job immediately should I leave my existing job or is it possible for me to take some time (perhaps months) of break without any employer? (Assuming I have an EAD/AP combo card in hand) would this affect a decision in the interview?

I'd love to hear thoughts from the community here. I've been silently following along for a while!

Thanks!
