I think some people benefit and some don't.  There is some convenience in being guided and having your documents reviewed by another set of knowledgeable eyes.  Some people may feel that they can read and follow the directions, though they can be a little daunting.  If you feel uncomfortable,  it may be money well spent.  People have questions here and gotten held up for misunderstanding a form and sending information in wrong or incomplete. There's not a one - size- fits - all answer.  They are legitimate, but are no faster than filing a complete and error- free request on your own, but it takes time and careful attention.

You need to learn a little more about how rapid visa works they charge a little more of course but they are also very strict on what they do for you, they have all current forums needed built into there web site. Yes you do collect all the information required and they make sure everything is in order and to there specs before they will let u sent all info to them. They go over 1 final time then send it off also if u do payment plan you can make payments monthly and they write check to USCIS. If u do not get approved they refund all except payment to government.

You have less of a chance to get the dreaded RFE with them instead of doing it yourself.

I used rapidvisa started in jan 17 k1 filed may 2nd noa1 may 5th no RFE do to the strictness of them helping me recieved noa2 on oct 27th along with nvc case the same day, customer service is always there to help via phone or email stays with you and fiance until visa approval. Lawyers are way more expensive do not communicate have chances of RFE, you also have even bigger chance of RFE if you DIY unless you do extensive searching.  So until you know how a service works you really need not comment about it until you do your research.

You started the process with rapid visa in January 2017 and they sent the paperwork in at the beginning of May?

You definitely don't need rapidvisa now that you have found visajourney. Just read up on the process, follow the K-1 guide and ask your questions in the forum. That's all you need - and it's for free.

Most of us have done everything ourselves, from K-1 and AOS to ROC and naturalization. Me and my US husband have done both K-1 and AOS (greencard) all by ourselves and haven't had any requests for evidence (RFE is when you didn't send a complete application or enough evidence, they then issue an RFE asking you for the missing documents/evidence that they need to make a decision).

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

I have used a similar service. If I submitted the forms as proposed by the para legal, we would have been rejected already as he made many mistakes.

For other points, he was helpful as he had experience in how to arrange and present the documents. So, if you are rich and you can afford it, why not?

Check yourself, gather info here, and use their expertise, and if all 3 things come together, it would surely work out. If you are tight in funds, no need to use them.

Yes due to payment plan has to be paid in so much before they will send it off

We don’t have anything complicated in our case and we hired a lawyer. Just because we knew this was gonna be stressful enough as it is and we didn’t wanna take the chance of doing anything wrong. I’m glad we did. Takes the burden off of you.

I have a fiance in the states who I want to marry and spend the rest of my life over there with him. We have no idea on where to start with the k1 visa process and are thinking of using Rapid Visa. I was wondering if anyone has any experience or advice with using this website. Please help😂

DO NOT USE RAPIDVISA!!!

I made the mistake of using them because I was already overwhelmed with what to do... My husband was a seasonal worker so he was not making the required money to support a household of 3 (even though the 3rd person is a child that does not live with us). So I was going to use my assets because that would have brought us 10x's over the amount required... RapidVisa collected ALL my financial records and DID NOT submit them to USCIS which caused a RFIE for joint sponsor.  I paid the extra $100 premium processing to get screwed because I am still waiting for an interview to be scheduled (my case is "in the pipeline" waiting for ATL to grab it from NBC) and my PD was April 10 2017. The owner of RapidVisa or co-owner became very vicious and nasty when I confronted him.. He said show me proof we didn't send the I-864A (they supposedly do not keep a copy of your case file) and we can discuss a partial refund (which I will once my case is complete because if I ask for a copy from USCIS now, it will delay my case even longer).

You are better off to file yourself and ask a lot of questions if you don't understand something. USCIS is great at giving you and instruction sheet with all forms you download for free from their site.  As well, there is a lot of people on this site that have great knowledge.

As others have said, you have to do all of the work to gather the evidence you will need to submit with your application(s), so the fee for any service you use is an additional expense that might not be worth it.  I did all the filings for myself/my husband with the help of VisaJourney--the K-1, his Visa, and Adjustment of Status.  I used the guides here and posted a couple of questions.  We never received an  RFE.  The thing I found more helpful than anything else were the samples of all the forms already filled out.  Check this link http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples/

Whatever you decide, good luck on your journey!

I knew nothing about the immigration process before beginning this.

If you are diligent and organized it is a fairly easy process with the suggestions of VJ (I just felt like I was back in graduate school putting together some research project).  We haven't had any problems doing everything ourselves without a lawyer or use of an other organization. Honestly the hardest parts is gathering evidence of a relationship and all the other paperwork (birth certificates, Financial forms) but you will have to do that anyways :)

It took about three weeks from starting and learning the process to having our packet complete and mailed for the K1 visa. This includes looking over the paperwork multiple times to ensure everything was in there and a last minute over night delivery from Australia because of a error  with the first passports photos (turns out overnight mail from Australia doesn't really exist.. bahaha).

I used RapidVisa as well.  I'm happy I did because while filing out my I-129 online, some of the information I entered didn't save correctly, so RapidVisa pointed that.  Glad it was them instead of USCIS, causing a possible RFE.  Basically, you pay people to glance at your paperwork, help you gather all the required documentation/evidence, and then have them look at the package one last time before sending it off to USCIS.  All for a "peace of mind" really.  A lot of help is found here on this website itself, and I'm thankful for that, but I don't regret using RapidVisa. Hope this helps...

i used rapid visa for the K1 and did the two year myself. what i found out was i thought someone else could do a better job of presenting my case. the truth is , if you can read and follow simple instructions you can do it. if you want to feel better you can pay Rapid Visa.from doing the filings both ways i know i wasted my money. i got a RFE anyway. i filled out the papers as directed by Rapid Visa.  they cannot guarantee that your case will not get a RFE.  They cannot guarantee that you will get a interview. all they can do is fill out the papers for you. i filled out the two year and didn't get a RFE. i followed the instructions as posted here. when i had a question i posted it here. all the help i needed is right here. when i file removal of conditions i will be right here.

I'm just curious, did you choose the length of time to have the interview for your fiancé after your petition was approved? Quite a bit of time between there...

If its a simple case, no overstays, no criminal history, etc, you should be able to do it yourself. Go to the USCIS website and look for form 129F. Read the instructions. Im sure there are guides here on VJ on how to assamble the package, what documnts to send, evidence. I’m sure you can do it! But if you feel more confortable having someone else prepare it for you, go for it. Just be aware that even having a professional do it you still might get RFE’s.

Good Luck!

you will pay a fee for this:

Rapid visa sends a list of needed documents / list is free from immigraaiton (USCIS site)

they look over documents and mail to USCIS

they can not represent you if there are any issues

all the work is done by you and all Rapid Visa does is mail the package

Rapid does not mean they can get the visa faster / it is just their business name

for this you want to pay?

I like Rapid Visa and used them... and I would recommend their service. not because you can't do it yourself but their site makes it easier and I definitely would've gotten a RFE had I not used them. If you got the money, use them. if you don't.. don't sweat it.

I used RapidVisa and I'm glad I did.  They had a few questions on my petition that I was able to respond to.  Those would have been an RFE if I didn't use their service.  They are great with communication and available 24/7 to answer questions.

You do not necessarily need them but they will take some of the stress away at a fraction of the cost of a lawyer.  It is your decision but I am glad that I decided to use them.
