From what I have read uscis doesn't transfer to tier  2 easily. What do u guys Say that they transfer you to tier 2. I am thinking to  ask my son to call them and ask.  We are 237 days today.

each time I called in I told them there is a problem and I need to be transferred to tier 2, each time they said hold for your transfer, just about all the time I have gotten in where they have to call me back and it ranges anywhere from 103 min to 264 min leave the number you want called back to and your name. I have always gotten a call back within the time they said I would.

now I am waiting to call NVC to get my case number, and praying that it goes smoother there than it did at hellbraska

My husband usually got the call back from USCIS too given the said time frame. The first time he talked to a tier 2, she said “ looks like someone is working on your case” ; the second tier 2 said “ I can’t say much coz it’s being processed “.

We were like, how reassuring 😅

Thanks for your response. I was wondering approx how long after the case has been transfer will you hear form NVC by snail mail, and will they send the NVC letter to petitioner in the US or beneficiary outside the US?

I think Petitioner receives the welcome Letter in USA,

and from what I have heard and seen , the welcome mail can take anywhere from  1-2 months from your Case sent to DOS Date

I haven't had any problem of getting transferred to Tier 2 whenever I called ,  I just tell them , can you transfer me to Tier 2 please, maybe they'll be able to help me more,   and usually they just repeat their scripted response , you requested a transfer to higher authority blah blah blah..   and then they transfer ,

hope this helps

I just called NVC.  MY case was sent to DOS on 1/12/18.  They received my case on 1/22/18.  No case # assigned yet.  Still more waiting but that's what I expected.

I hope we get our case number next week too!  I thought of calling later next week too.  If you get your case number, then I'm calling as soon as I find that. If I don't have it yet.

I am sorry to hear that that's a long wait

i hope things get moving for you ,

perhaps you can see if there is any uscis office near you where you can make infopass appointment

https://my.uscis.gov/appointment

and go talk to immigration officer directly ?

Thanks for that @harsh2010. That would have been handy. Doesn't look like there's one in my country. The automatic email response said I should hear something back by mid Feb. Fingerscrossed I get good news by then.

Yay! Both our petitions were received at NVC at the same time. They said check back on Feb. 5th or 6th for case #. Already starting to get financial docs. ready  to go.

I'm excited yours was sent at the same time.  I guess after waiting a year+  at Nebraska I can wait a few more days.  I  have been taking time to get all  my documents together and reading up on the next steps and the fees that need to be paid, etc.  At least customer service is really nice to talk to.
