299 days and counting.

Still nothing on the app or website. Sure letter can be in the mail and we're overseas so.

if you have the luxury of calling ,

you can call USCIS and talk to tier 2 to see if its approved or not ?

I hope your approval is in mail or comes very soon  :):)

praying for you

We're 379 days and counting. I FINALLY got through to a Tier 2, 1st time successful ever( tricky when you're calling from overseas) they had no idea what the current status was and asked me to send an email on the website to follow up.

quick question...

Are we supposed to hear from NVC via e-mail or snail mail?

I saw the status changed to Sent to Department of State when I checked my case status.  However, I have receive nothing on e-mail or snail mail since the initial NOA-1 letter.

from NVC you'll receive snail mail like after a while, your initial welcome letter,

but don't wait for that,  call NVC after 10 days from case sent to DoS update,  by this time they should have your case at NVC , on normal circumstances,

once they say we received your case on the X Date  , wait  another 10 days or so and call NVC again to get your case number and Inv ID over the phone and provide them with your E-mail and Beneficiary's E-mail ,

once you provide E-mails they'll send all updates through E-mail , which is lot faster

Should you the petitioner call them to get this information or the Beneficiary, or can either of them do it?

I am the Petitioner and I have been calling NVC,         but I think its better if Petitioner calls  them

but if Petitioner in your case can't call , you, Beneficiary, can try calling NVC too  ,  I don't see how that can be a problem.

Thanks for your response. I was wondering approx how long after the case has been transfer will you hear form NVC by snail mail, and will they send the NVC letter to petitioner in the US or beneficiary outside the US?

Harsh2010 you always are very knowledgeable and full of insight. I appreciate all the information you provide.   I hate waiting on snail mail.  It will be nice to have it all moved over to email.
