Yes. NVC is  part of the State Department.

Congratulations 😊 Did they update your status on your USCIS case status? How long did it take from the approval to arrive? They told my son yesterday that they had just approved my petition but he didn’t get a text, email and no online update of status ☹️

I am happy they approved you, I thought your son got a RFE letter.

 

I did not get an update online, no email, no text. I got approved on 1/17 they mailed the letter on 1/18 I got it last night when I got home, still not updated online either.

When my son phoned on Monday they told him an RFE was sent out on Saturday. He phoned again yesterday and asked again for an update and clarification. They called him back (so I guess the guy on Monday wasn’t a Tier 2 rep). They told him no RFE has been sent and they just approved the petition !
