My I-130 was approve on the 11th of Jan. Took awhile to get to my wife and no online or text updates at all. on to the next step.

Congratulations for you and your wife! We've been waiting for almost 7 months now for my husbands i130 approval and are still waiting. I just want to know how you were informed about your approval?

I requested they send notification by email usibg the g1145 form. Won't thry send me an email? We are living abroad, so how will they inform us bout the approval?

Thank you!

With the information I found out last night at how they pick random cases that are up on the PD there was a June approval, most people are getting the paper mail even if they opted to hear by email and text. I wish they would just be consistent and worked the cases in order but seems like that is asking too much.

depending on your country from what I understand the police certificates are good for 6 months to a Year, however I wouldn't get it until the case gets to NVC, and there really isn't much else you can do but wait, you can start gathering all the evidence together for proof of marriage, there isn't any forms you can do ahead of time. You can't do the Medical exam until you get the list of approved places to have it preformed at. So really just try and be patient, I know its hard. I would make sure you have all your W2 for the last at least 2-3 years in one place, and get the Tax returns for the last 2-3 years together really just getting papers you think you will need together is all you can do.

Do we need tax returns or w2s or both?

I filed for my mom, can anyone help with the next step at NVC? I read what they need on the website, just need someone with experience. Thank you!

If you want someone to tell their experience, I suggest you to post outside of this topic, so you receive answers from more people and not just Nebraska, since you fall in a different category that most of us.

Also, this guide could help you in case you just want a clear view of the process.

Hi,

I have filed for my parents, i-130 on July 7th.., I have a long way to go for the approval, but i was wondering like for the Nebraska fliers have a separate topic, or thread is there anything for the NVC . I would like to start looking at it, in order to get a idea of the paper work, so that i get a head start on it.

Thanks for all your help.

i was just try shy of 13 months before I received my approval.   I signed up for notification  via email and text and my approval only came in the mail.  The only time I received an email and text was when they sent it to DOS.
